Orange Community Education & Recreation, through the Orange Senior Center, serves as the Office on Aging for the greater Orange School District. Referrals of licensed counselors, who can answer questions, provide in-home visits, access information and make referrals to other organizations as necessary, are a phone call away. Do you need applications for an RTA pass, HEAP or Handicapped Parking? Need to borrow medical equipment for short-term use? The Orange Senior Center is your resource. Call 216-831-8601 ext. 5700.
Caregiver Support Group
There is a professionally facilitated support group which meets the third Tuesday of the month to discuss resources, tools and techniques. Participants share and learn from one another in a supportive and confidential environment. Supported through the Area Agency on Aging. 3:00 - 4:00, $2 donation.
Class Scholarships Are Available
Would you like to be a more active participant at the Orange Senior Center, but your current financial situation prohibits that? If so, and you are a resident of the Orange School District, the Senior Center Activity Resource Fund (SCARF) can help. This fund has been made possible through a generous contribution of the Parker Family. Confidential inquiries may be made to the Older Adult Coordinator, at 216-831-8601, ext. 5701.
