Employment & Volunteer Opportunities


Orange Community Education & Recreation employs full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. These include programming staff, early childhood teachers, support and operations staff, supervisory staff and before and after school childcare staff, and custodians. 
 
Lifeguards and swim instructor positions are available year-round while summer camp staff positions are available during the summer.

Please note: A criminal BCI & FBI background check including fingerprints is required prior to employment and for certain volunteer opportunities. Background checks are paid for by the potential employee and  are scheduled after applicants are interviewed.

Early Childhood Teacher- Preschool Classroom
Orange Early Childhood is a unique, dynamic and comprehensive Early Childhood program, managed by Orange Community Education & Recreation and located on the campus of the Orange School District. We are currently seeking energetic, enthusiastic and inspired educators to co-teach in our preschool classrooms. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and have experience working with young children in a preschool setting. This full time position offers outstanding healthcare benefits and a supportive, friendly work environment. Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
Orange Community Education & Recreation is currently seeking certified lifeguards and water safety instructors to fill flexible, part-time hours throughout the year. American Red Cross Certification is required for lifeguards and guards must be certified prior to submitting an application. Early Childhood Summer Camp Instructor
Orange Early Childhood is a unique, dynamic and comprehensive Early Childhood program, managed by Orange Community Education & Recreation and located on the campus of the Orange School District. We are currently seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and inspired instructors to co-teach in our summer camp classrooms. The ideal candidate will possess or be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and have experience working with young children in a preschool setting. Instructors are needed for various positions throughout the summer, Monday - Friday, June 10 -August 2.
