Following Govenor Mike DeWine's mandated closure of K-!2 schools in response to COVID-19, Orange Community Education & Recreation classes, activities, events and 
all facilities are closed through June 30. 

We are currently planning small-group, in-person activities for district residents only beginning in July.

Employment & Volunteer Opportunities


Orange Community Education & Recreation employs full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. These include programming staff, early childhood teachers, support and operations staff, supervisory staff and before and after school childcare staff, and custodians. 
 
Lifeguards and swim instructor positions are available year-round while summer camp staff positions are available during the summer.

Please note: A criminal BCI & FBI background check including fingerprints is required prior to employment and for certain volunteer opportunities. Background checks are paid for by the potential employee and  are scheduled after applicants are interviewed.

Seasonal
 
Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
Orange Community Education & Recreation is currently seeking certified lifeguards and water safety instructors to fill flexible, part-time hours throughout the year. American Red Cross Certification is required for lifeguards and guards must be certified prior to submitting an application. Camp Counselor
Orange Community Education & Recreation (OCER) is seeking fun, caring, energetic, and hard-working high school, college and graduate students to work as a Camp Counselor this summer. Counselors work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment while planning and implementing activities for students in grades K - 8 in a traditional day camp environment. Camp runs June 8 - July 31.
