Senior Center Coordinator
Orange Community Education and Recreation provides outstanding recreation and discovery opportunities for people of all ages. The department offers programming in arts, theatre, sports, preschool discovery, youth camps, before/after school activities as well as adult recreation, aquatics and senior adult recreation. The department is currently seeking a Senior Center Coordinator to lead and manage the operations of the Orange Senior Center.
The successful candidate will have strong and effective leadership and management skills, a demonstrated community and public service orientation, and knowledge and application of quality programs within a comprehensive older adult community education and recreation department. A minimum of three years successful experience in the program management, planning, development, and implementation of a wide range of programs for senior citizens. A bachelor’s degree in related field is required with Master’s degree preferred.

Before / After School Group Leader
Orange Community Education and Recreation is currently seeking a part-time Group Leader for the Open Door Before/After School program located at Pepper Pike Learning Center on the campus of Orange School District.
The successful candidate will possess professional experience working in and implementing a school age child care program in a similar non-profit educational/recreational setting; knowledge of child development and a solid commitment to serving children and families in a non-profit, public service arena; and excellent organizational and customer relation skills. The ability to handle and prioritize diverse and changing duties with solid commitment to serving the families of the community and work with a team of community education and recreation professionals in public school setting is essential.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required and the preferred candidate will be in process of acquiring a degree in teaching or related field or have extensive experience working with school age children in a similar setting. Certificate in First Aid and CPR is also required. Salary: $10.00 /hour

Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
Orange Community Education & Recreation is currently seeking certified lifeguards and water safety instructors to fill flexible, part-time hours throughout the year. American Red Cross Certification is required for lifeguards and guards must be certified prior to submitting an application. Red Cross certification is preferred for water safety instructors.
