Orange Community Education & Recreation employs full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. These include programming staff, early childhood teachers, support and operations staff, supervisory staff and before and after school childcare staff, and custodians. 
Lifeguards and swim instructor positions are available year-round while summer camp staff positions are available during the summer.

Please note: A criminal BCI & FBI background check including fingerprints is required prior to employment and for certain volunteer opportunities. Background checks are paid for by the potential employee and  are scheduled after applicants are interviewed.
Administrative Assistant
Orange Community Education & Recreation Department is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to work at our Pepper Pike Learning Center office on the campus of Orange School District. The successful candidate will have exceptional organizational and administrative skills, strong problem solving and solutions-oriented customer service skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft and Google products. This person will support division coordinators and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization, communication, scheduling, reporting and assist in marketing and promoting the department’s programs and events through a variety of hard copy and digital means. At least 7 years of experience in the administrative or assistant field is required and office management experience is a plus. Early Childhood Coordinator
Orange Community Education and Recreation is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic, highly qualified individual for the position of Early Childhood Coordinator. This multi-faceted position is a key part of the overall department and works closely with department staff in the development and implementation of instructional and recreational programs. Bachelor’s Degree in Education (at least 24 hours in early childhood, child development, elementary education and/or special education) with a current State of Ohio PK-3 teaching license is required. A Master’s Degree in Education is preferred. Previous experience planning and/or teaching Early Childhood discovery and enrichment classes (sports, creative arts, etc.) in school or recreation setting is preferred.

Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
Orange Community Education & Recreation is currently seeking certified lifeguards and water safety instructors to fill flexible, part-time hours throughout the year. American Red Cross Certification is required for lifeguards and guards must be certified prior to submitting an application. The Orange Community Education & Recreation Department has an immediate opening for a part-time custodian to perform light maintenance and custodial services for the Orange Art Center and Orange Senior Center, Monday - Friday, 7 - 11 pm.
