Fall Registration Begins Aug 27

Orange School district residents will catch a glimpse of classes, programs, activities and events for all family members when Orange Community Education & Recreation kicks off its 2016/2017 season at the Fall Registration Fair on Saturday, August 27 from 9:00am – noon at the Pepper Pike Learning Center on the Orange Schools campus, 32000 Chagrin Blvd., Pepper Pike.

The registration fair is the first opportunity for residents of the Orange School district to register for more than 300 events, classes and activities. The fair features classes, programs, trips and activities for toddlers through senior adults, including fine arts classes at the Orange Art Center. Non-residents may begin registering on August 29.

With a variety of new programs for all ages, there is a class or event for everyone in the family. New classes for preschoolers include Little Lions Basketball, Dance with Me, and Authors and Artists, just to name a few. Students in grades 3-5 can register for Totally Toyriffic, Jr. Science Club, Eager Engineers, SpookyBOTS, Muggie Quidditch, and more. Students who love sports can register for the new NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Competition and Intro to Wrestling, plus football, volleyball, basketball and more. Orange Art Center classes include the new Cartooning 101 with Josh Usmani and Animal Sculptures, plus 2D Art and Pottery!

Those interested in dramatic arts can register for Stagecrafters classes including new preschool classes in Dramatic Play, Movement & Make Believe!, and Crafty Kids Creative Thinkers. The popular Afterschool Adventures classes will have students in grades K-7 acting, singing and dancing. And, students of all ages can Learn to Swim with a variety of levels from ages one and up.

Adults and senior adults have many new options available this fall including the new Paddle Board Yoga, The Basics of Woodworking, Hand-Painted Wine Glasses, Rightsizing Your Home, Rightsizing Your Life, Make Your Own Holiday Wreath, and many sports and fitness activities for all fitness levels. Those interested in exploring art can register for new classes at the Orange Art Center including Art Sampler for Newbies, Basic Sculpting, Evening Watercolor, Advanced Wheel Throwing Pottery, and many more.

With a variety of new classes and programs for all ages, plus many more popular returning favorites, Orange Community Education & Recreation’s Fall Registration Fair is the place to be on Saturday, August 27. Online registration also begins on August 27 at www.orangerec.com.
