OPENING RECEPTION: Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 3-5pm at Orange Art Center
EXHIBITION DATES: September 12-16, 2016 from 10am-4pm at Orange Art Center
ELIGIBLE ENTRIES: The Orange Art Show is open to artists in local communities as well as students and faculty of the Orange Art Center. No more than two (2) entries of work per artist will be accepted. Works should not exceed 48” or weigh more than 30lbs.
ENTRY FEES: Entry fee for an artist’s first piece will be $10.00 and the second piece will be $5.00. All art works are encouraged to be available for purchase. The Orange Art Center will retain 40% of the total sale for each piece sold.
ENTRY FORMS: Entry forms and labels below must be completed and attached to each art entry. Please note that all works must be framed and wired and ready for hanging. Saw tooth hangers are not accepted.
ELIGIBLE WORKS: Ceramics; Crafts (beads, jewelry and metals); 3D Mixed Media; Painting (acrylics and oils); Works on Paper (pencil, charcoal, ink, chalk, oil, pastel, water color and 2D mixed Media).
JUDGES: This is a juried show. Judges to be announced.
AWARDS & PRIZES: Awards will be given at the discretion of the judges. One artist will receive the Best in Show Award of $400.00 in memory of Susie Graham. Second Place in Show will receive $250.00 and Third Place in Show will receive $150.00. Artists may also receive Honorable Mentions. OAC faculty members are encouraged to participate in the (un-juried) Invitational section of the show.
DELIVERY OF ENTRIES: Entries will be accepted at the Orange Art Center from August 30 through September 2 between the hours of 10am-4pm. Special arrangements can also be made for entry drop off by contacting the Orange Art Center. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please note that all work is exhibited at the artist’s own risk and Orange Art Center is not responsible for art pieces.
PICK UP: Art pieces should be picked up on Tuesday, September 20 between 10am and 4pm at the Orange Art Center. Items not picked up by the designated day and time will become the property of the Orange Art Center for removal.
