This spring, Stagecrafters is thrilled to roll out two brand new programs that celebrate all the ways students love to make theatre, whether that means rocking out onstage or creating the magic behind the scenes. Designed for middle schoolers and teens, these new offerings open exciting doors for collaboration, creativity, and growth in spaces that feel both challenging and fun.

One of the newest additions, Crafters & Company, is a bold teen program that pairs Stagecrafters students with local adult theatre artists in a shared rehearsal and performance process. Created for teens who are curious about pursuing the arts professionally, this program gives students a real window into what professional theatre looks and feels like, from rehearsal etiquette to collaboration and networking. The inaugural production will be School of Rock, the high energy stage adaptation of the hit film, featuring a mix of familiar Stagecrafters faces and experienced adult performers. It is loud, joyful, and the perfect launch for a program rooted in mentorship, music, and big creative energy.

Also launching this spring at Stagecrafters Summer Camp is Studio Design & Tech: Behind the Spotlight, a hands on theatre design program for students currently in grades 6–8 who love storytelling but prefer to make the magic happen offstage. From set and prop design to costume creation, students will explore how visual elements shape a story and bring a production to life. Best of all, the designs created in this studio will be used in other Stagecrafters productions, giving students the unforgettable experience of seeing their work shine onstage. Perfect for the theatre kid who thrives in the creative process and prefers running the spotlight rather than standing in it, Studio Design is collaborative, imaginative, and deeply fun.

Together, these two new programs reflect what Stagecrafters values most. Creating space for every kind of theatre kid to belong, grow, and discover where they shine. Whether students are stepping into a professional style rehearsal room or building the world from the ground up, Stagecrafters is excited to cheer them on every step of the way.
