At the end of March, Orange Community Education and Recreation was awarded a grant from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. This grant is for "Cuyahoga County accessibility, arts and culture organizations, library programs, and recreation centers and providers." We received this grant, along with other physical spaces, arts & culture events, recreation services, and libraries.
The grant awards Grant awards for recreation centers ranged from $5,000 - $6,300.
With this grant, we will be providing life skills classes, like our immensely popular Personal Safety Seminar, and it will also support our Adult Day Camp this summer. The grant will help cover staffing and resources for the programs.
