Orange Community Education & Recreation employs full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. These include programming staff, early childhood teachers, support and operations staff, supervisory staff and before and after school childcare staff, and custodians.
Lifeguards and swim instructor positions are available year-round while summer camp staff positions are available during the summer.

Early Childhood Substitute 2024-2025 School Year
Orange Early Childhood is a unique, dynamic and comprehensive Early Childhood program, managed by Orange Community Education & Recreation and located on the campus of the Orange School District. We are currently seeking energetic, enthusiastic and inspired individuals to substitute in our preschool classrooms. The ideal candidate will possess or be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) and have experience working with young children in a preschool setting. Substitutes are on an “as needed” basis, and may be called ahead of time or the morning of. Hours vary from half day to full day, and within the time frame of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm depending on the hired teacher needing a substitute. Eligibility requirements: Have at least a high school diploma or certification of high school equivalency issued by the state board of education or comparable agency.
